It was great to have a race that was so close, only one hour from the shop. While Friday was cold and cloudy, Sunday was sunny with temps. in the mid 80’s. The track would turn out to be one of the roughest of the year. It was very choppy ! The Pro section had a real technical ditch jump that claimed many riders in Saturdays qualifying. Lap times were 8-9 minutes for the Pros.
Robby’s race. 7th place start. On lap two, he moved into 5th. He pushed up into a battle for fourth for 2 laps, and finally took 4th on lap 5. Unfortunately he was one of the Pro section victims on Saturday, and sprained his wrist. He began to suffer from the rough course as his hand started to hurt and go numb. As the pain grew, he slowed and eventually fell back to finish 14th.
JP Davis’s race. 20th place start. On lap two, he moved into 15th. He continued to battle forward, but had to stop early for goggles and lost several positions. In the second hour, he maintained his pace, and passed his way to 13th at the finish.
Justin Seeds race. 2nd place start in the Pro-2. He ran in this position for the first hour. Then when the leader pitted, he took the lead. It was short lived as he pitted on the next lap. He pushed hard all the way to the finish, not far off the lead. This is his best ever Pro-2 finish, and to be so close to winning, you can bet he will be working even harder for round 7.
Jack continues to dominate the 125A class and has pulled a strong lead in the points. He has also moved onto the podium in the 15-29A class. Daddy Steve has taken the points lead in the 30C class. Mark Harstine is fighting back from a string of bad luck and put in two solid rides in the B classes which are the largest classes of the weekend.
Well it’s good to move into the summer break. We still have a lot to work on and some healing to do. While the next WORCS race is at the end of July, we will be getting in some other types of racing. Next stop is Mammoth MX. Robby, JP, and Jack will be up riding on the mountain. Then we will be having some mini training camps and a lot of testing. I’ll keep the updates coming and work on pictures at all the events.
Thanks once again for all the support. We will continue to keep pushing to improve and get press to represent our sponsors in the best way possible.
